How did you discover Fresh Networking back in 2014?
I was referred to Fresh by a financial planner who had heard about a networking group opening across the road from his office.
What was your first impression going to your first Fresh meeting?
Was excited to see so many people that I did not know or would never have crossed paths with in my normal circles. The vibe was energetic and fun!

Why did you join?
I opened Aussie Home Loans South Yarra and Prahran the same month Fresh launched. I didn’t know any local business and thought it would be a great way to meet like-minded and complimentary businesses who were all looking to grow together.

A Fresh Success Story
A hub member had been wanting to develop their home for some time, over the course of 2 years we went through the numbers to ensure their business and financials were in a position where they could achieve this dream for their family. I was very proud when they realised their dream and that I was able to assist them on their journey.
Also this year I have been able to refer over $100k in business to other Freshies!

What impact has Fresh had in your business life?
It’s hard to overstate the impact that it has had. I can honestly say at least 60-70% of transactions that I complete for my client has had at least one other Fresh member involved, whether it be a conveyancer, accountant, financial planner or bookkeeper. My clients are often delighted that I have been able to refer to them to such high quality, trusted professionals who they know will look after them based on my relationships.

What about personally?
Definitely the strong friendships that I have formed and having a trusted group of business owners that I can consult with and learn from.

How have you seen Fresh evolve over the years?
Went from a backyard operation to now having over 200 members.
The marketing has come ahead in leaps and bounds, which we are seeing more interest from guests coming to our meetings, many people are starting to know who Fresh is.

There has been a big change in the quality of educational programs offered to members, webinars that focus on business and health & wellbeing topics.

Also, big changes with technology this year to automate processes that make our lives easier. Everything was so manual in the beginning.

Being a member for 7 years, what is one networking nugget would you recommend?
Schedule two “Get Freshes” each week to get to know guests and members on a deeper more personal level. That’s where you find those pearls of wisdom!

If you were to describe Fresh Networking in 3 words, what would they be?
Dynamic, Educational and Community.
