Celebrating our Fresh community in 2020

Celebrating our Fresh community in 2020

Well, what a year it’s been. As we reach the end of a networking year like no other, it’s time to relax, review and re-Fresh…

Those of you who attended the ‘Maskuerade’ party last week will know we did just that – we chilled out with music, fun and frivolities, we looked at how we rose above everything that 2020 threw at us, and we celebrated all that is wonderful about Fresh – YOU!

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Fresh went from strength to strength, finishing the year with no less than

  • 8 new hubs
  • 130 membership applications (higher than 2019)
  • A massive 28% increase in event attendees
  • Freshies generously gave their time and shared their expertise in the Fresh Webinar series and we saw a fantastic new Fresh branding and an invigorated marketing campaign.
Above all, we celebrated the people of Fresh with our annual Networking Awards. More highly coveted than Oscars (so I’ve been told anyway!), our Christmas party saw us ‘unmask’ the best of the best in Fresh.
And (drumroll please), the winners are…

  • Highest number of guests (43) – Raj Jayarajah of Oakleigh Hub
  • Highest referrer ($183,716) – Martyn Coomber of Brighton Hub
  • Best Education – Carol Benton of Melbourne Online Hub (Make the Most of your Minute)
  • Fresh Spirit award – Chloe De Stefano of Werribee Hub
  • Covid Pivot award – Tim Harris and Jesse Spezza of Prahran & CBD on Bourke St Hubs
  • Most Upbeat Freshie – Shaun Resnik of St Kilda Hub
  • Rising Star – Jo Fisher of Caribbean Park Hub
  • Top New Freshie – George Zeidan of Narre Warren Hub
  • Fresh Advocate award – David Hewitt of Prahran Hub
  • Facilitator of the year – Laura Litcanu of Camberwell Hub
  • Hub of the year – CBD on Bourke St
  • And…the ultimate Fresh Award….
2020 Networker of the Year was Nicole Faid of our St Kilda hub.

All that remains to say is a massive THANK YOU to every single one of you in Fresh, for keeping our community strong and thriving through this challenging year. Without you, there’d be no Fresh.
I wish each and every one of you a wonderful Freshmas, doing whatever makes you happy. And I look forward to seeing you raring to go for ‘Share the Fresh’ in 2021.
