Bobby is the Director of Australian Buyer’s Advocates, a property advisory and acquisition firm that helps investors identify and secure high-quality residential property with strong long-term fundamentals.
Bobby has been investing in property for more than 20 years and brings a commercially focused approach to property selection, negotiation and portfolio strategy. Prior to establishing Australian Buyer’s Advocates, he held senior leadership roles in the telecommunications industry, managing large commercial portfolios and developing extensive experience in strategy, negotiation and decision-making.
His investment philosophy is centred on buying well, rather than simply buying property.
That means looking beyond the suburb or expected capital growth and assessing the fundamentals of the individual asset, including land scarcity, owner-occupier demand, rental pressure, future supply, value-add potential and, importantly, the price being paid.
A key part of the strategy is optionality.
Where possible, Bobby looks for properties that give clients both short and long-term options. That may include renovation, adding a granny flat, subdivision or other ways to improve income, manufacture equity or increase the usefulness of the asset over time.
The objective isn’t simply to buy one good property. Each acquisition should have a clear role within the broader portfolio and, where possible, help put the client in a stronger position to purchase the next one.
Bobby works closely with investors to understand what each property needs to achieve within their broader strategy, rather than relying on generic property recommendations or short-term market trends.
