Ilya is a Principal Financial Adviser and Director of Financial Balance Group. He founded it in 2022 after a decade of gaining experience as a Senior Financial Adviser at one of Australia’s big 4 banks.

Ilya loves helping clients achieve their goals and supporting them on their financial journeys. With over 10 years of experience and knowledge, he is well-placed to find personalised solutions and financial strategies suited to individual needs.

More importantly than his experience and technical knowledge, Ilya’s natural empathy enables him to listen and understand his clients, ensuring that his advice addresses their needs and is in their best interest.

Ilya loves maintaining long-term relationships and seeing his clients achieve their life and financial goals. His personal experience which began as an international al student in 2006 demonstrates what a sensible financial plan can achieve. 

Ilya is best positioned to help people in their 50s and 60s who are proactively thinking about their retirement to achieve confidence that they can live the life they want and that their money will last. 

He also helps families navigate the complexities of Aged Care and Centrelink when transitioning family members into residential Aged Care or accessing Home Care packages.

Ilya has attained the internationally recognised designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®. He also holds the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Economics   

• Master of Accounting and Financial Management

• Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) 

• Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning

• SMSF accreditation.

Ilya is FASEA accredited and meets the competency requirements under ASICs Regulatory Guide RG 146 and is an Financial Advice Association Australia Accredited Aged Care Specialist.

Outside of work, Ilya enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, reading, working on DIY home projects and staying fit.
